Quick rules

  1. Deal three cards. Each player receives a three-card hand.
  2. Draw one. Take the top stock card or the visible discard.
  3. Discard one. Return to a three-card hand after improving—or reshaping—your suit total.
  4. Make 31 or knock. An exact 31 ends the round immediately. Knocking gives the opponent one final turn.
  5. Compare hands. The higher score wins the round. ShufflePals matches are first to three round wins.

Only one suit counts

Add the cards from your strongest single suit. Cards from other suits do not contribute unless all three cards share a rank, which scores 30½.

When should you knock?

27 or higher

A score of 27+ is usually strong enough to consider knocking, especially late in the deck.

Watch the discard

Repeated cards of one suit can reveal the suit Finn may be building.

Keep flexibility

Early in a round, two connected suits can give you more useful draws than committing too quickly.
